Fittstim meets Alaris

I like this one, it was good fun :)

You open the door and pass through into the garden.
Garden -- Venhei Embassy (Kaitain)
Surrounded by high stone walls, the large circular garden contains,
at its center, a fountain of white marble. The basin of the fountain is
in the shape of a broad lotus flower and water streams from the statue
of a water nymph holding a pitcher. The white marble of the fountain is
ribboned with blue veins, giving it a fragile appearance. Surrounding
the fountain, tall trees provide shade and flowering bushes offer
privacy and fill the air with their fragrance. Here and there, a carved
marble bench has been placed along the winding paths.
Players:
 Alaris Fittstim
Exits:
Arched Doorway <SE> leads to Forecourt -- Venhei Embassy (Kaitain)
Paned Glass Door <E> leads to Dining Room -- Venhei Embassy (Kaitain)
Glass Door <NE> leads to Diplomatic Lounge -- Venhei Embassy (Kaitain)

Fittstim takes a seat on the marble bench and takes a moment to admire
the fountain.
A tranquil fountain plays lightly behind the cloaked Priestess of the
Venhei. She sits watching the huge flowers grow beside her. Hearing a
sound, she looks over to find that she has company. "Good day, my good
sir."
Alaris just looked at you.
Fittstim turns to see where the greeting came from. Seeing the cloaked
Priestess, he says, "Good day, my good lady."
Gray eyes, flecked with gold, drink deeply of the world around them. A
small introspective smiles plays across full lips as her eyes dance with
unspoken laughter. Long raven-black hair, highlighted with a tinge of
fire red, trails down the back. She stands at about 5 foot 6, sibilant
movement gracing her form. Tall lined leather boots climb up her legs,
disappearing under a long skirt of wine-red material. A silver belt of
interlocking crescent moons encircles her waist where the pieces seem to
glow with light. A forest green sash also is used as a belt, and can be
seen under the moons. A tunic, similar in color to the skirt, seems to
rest on her shoulders, where a heavy black cloak sits. The short sleeves
of the tunic give way to a silver armlet of interlocking crescents, of
the same design as the belt. A necklace of jade stones supplants itself
around Alaris' neck.
A faint smile passes upon her lips before she stands and strides forward
to the man, "You must be the new Bajazet Weaponsmaster, no?" Her eyes
show that she already knows the answer, yet she allows for pleasant
conversation.
Fittstim looks up so he may see her face, "Yes, I am the Bajazet
Weaponsmaster Fittstim Kelly."
Alaris nods slowly, a gentle hand snaking out from between the parts in
the robes, intent upon a firm handshake, "I am the Lady Aesira, Alaris
Havenskyr, Priestess to the Venhei. Well met, master."
Fittstim takes the Priestess' hand and shakes it firmly. "It is a
pleasure to have your acquaintance, Lady Alaris.
You say, "Some coffee would be nice."
Alaris laughs, "The Bajazet and their coffee!" She nods to the servant,
who scurries away. Alaris takes a seat beside the Weaponsmaster, "Yet...
it looks as though you yourself are not of the... Bajazet blood."
You say, "Indeed, I am not of Bajazet blood but that of their allies,
the Ginaz."
Alaris nods in understanding, "And you were... a gift I assume?"
Fittstim raises an eyebrow. "A gift? No. I was transferred into the
Jannissary army for two years before I rose to this position."
"Oh? You are a man to be reckoned with if you rose to Weaponsmaster so
quickly."
"Some would say that."
Adrian comes in through the arched doorway from the forecourt.
Adrian has arrived.
Adrian floats in escorted by a Venhei Guard
You say, "Slavemaster 'al Elmeri, it is a pleasure to see you again."
The servant returns with coffee and a tall glass of water for the
Preistess, who upon seeing the Bajazet Agha Kislar, jumps from her seat,
"Adrian! What has happened to you?" A look of concern is etched on her
face.
Adrian nods to Fittstim "Salaam"
Adrian smiles "Hello Alaris, " looks down at his chair "A difference of
opinion with a suicide Bomber"
The servant quickly pours another cup of coffee for the Slavemaster, and
hands the beverages out. He retreats into the shadows of the building
along with the Venhei guard.
Alaris frowns, "Information seems to travel slowly these days, does it
not?" She grins, "At least when you are away on a sabbatical I add."
Adrian chuckles "I am surprised you did not know...Two of your own
people were involved too, I believe Lord Aleksander was slightly injured
too"
Alaris frowns, "I had heard of an accident, I didn't realize you were
involved. Aleksander has been absent since I have returned, so I know
nothing of his condition."
Adrian nods "he is well or was."
Fittstim sips from his coffee and stares into the fountain in thought.
Alaris nods silently, "I was just having a pleasant conversation with
Master Kelly here. He is an interesting addition to the Bajazet elite,
is he not?"
Fittstim grins slightly.
Adrian grins at Alaris "If you say so, I have not had much chance to
speak with him
Alaris smiles topwards Adrian, "Well, then sit with us and enjoy."
Adrian nods "As you wish"
Adrian shifts in his chair
Alaris touches Fittstim on the arm, "Tell me more about yourself, Master
Kelly."
Adrian takes a drink from his cup, hiding a slight smile.
Fittstim shifts his thoughts back to the current situation, "Well, as I
said, I served for two years in the Jannissary army. I reached the rank
of Captain there."
Alaris nods encouragingly, her demeanor sweet. "I see. And then you
miraculously became Weaponsmaster?"
Fittstim smiles, "Not miraculously, Lady Alaris. Not at all." The grin
disappears and he continues, "The former Weaponsmaster challenged me and
I happened to win. It was the decision of the House to hire me then."
Alaris nods, "I see. And you, Agha? What do you think of this rapid
rise?" She sips from her water, watching both closely.
Adrian says, "it is in the manner of the Jannissaries, if one is
challenged by a higher officer and wins he gets that position"
Alaris nods, "Is that the same with your friend? The swordmaster?" The
glass is forgotten as she immerses herself in the talk of the
Janissaries and ranking and such. Interesting topics, considering she is
not of the warrior-type.
Adrian says, "Keylish?"
You say, "Swordmaster Keylish? I'm afraid that I've heard his name but I
have not met him."
Alaris shrugs, "I believe so, I only remember you having one
swordmaster. You have more?" She shakes her head, "My absence from the
goings of Kaitain make my head spin."
Adrian says, "He is recently returned to Kaitain from his home, I
believe he was settling his fathers estate"
Alaris ohs slightly, "That is a sad time. Death is a burden that the
living must deal with. I trust he is alright?" The priestess training
slowly takes over, in order to be of service in times of need.
Adrian nods "He is
Fittstim nods and looks around, taking in the beauty of the garden.
Adrian says, "and how have you been Alaris?"
Alaris smiles, "Decent. I've been studying at the OC Cathedral on
Marinus X for a while. It was very enjoyable."
Adrian smiles "a change form the theater I imagine
Alaris laughs, "The theater! I forgot all about my play!"
Adrian grins "it does seem a long time a go doesn't it?
Fittstim looks interested. "The theater?"
Adrian nods "Alaris was writing a play for the Imperial Theatre
Alaris nods, "In truth it does." She smiles at the Master Kelly, "Yes, I
was interested in putting on a play."
Fittstim ahs.
Adrian grins "I still want to see that play sometime
You say, "I would like to see it also."
Alaris nods, "When I get some time to work on it you shall." A buzz
sounds at the Venhei guard's area. The guard nods to some unseen voice
and proceeds to the Priestess, "My lady, the others request your
presence."
Alaris looks up and nods, "I see." She stands and curtsies to Fittstim,
"It was short, yet enjoyable Master Kelly. Again sometime?"
Fittstim bows gracefully to Alaris, "Of course, Lady Alaris."
She then moves towards Adrian, "And you, Adrian. You must get out more
often." She leans down and gives him a light kiss on the cheek, before
standing, "Gentlemen, the pleasure has been mine."
Adrian smiles warmly "I will Alaris...and feel free to stop by our
embassy
Adrian turns "shall we Captain?
Alaris curtsies again, "I shall." She turns and walks into the Embassy.
Adrian opens the door set in the wall and passes through to the
forecourt.
Adrian has left.
Alaris passes through the sliding glass doors to the Diplomatic Lounge.
Alaris has left.
