As you are no doubt aware, Jeon's player has been released from the post of
Emperor.

The role of Emperor is crucial to the game of Dune III. As such, we expect
to be able to work with the Emperor player closely on how this role
interacts with the rest of the game. We have tried communicating
constructively with Jeon's player continually and from the beginning of his
assuming the role. For various reasons, we did not feel that we were
successful in communicating our vision of the Emperor character. So, for the
good of the game, we have decided to pursue a new direction with the role.

We did not make this decision lightly,  and without a lot of consideration
beforehand. However, we stick by it.

We appreciate your concerns about the game and the way this decision was
reached. We hope that this letter will serve to increase understanding about
this matter, and that we can all go on from here in a positive way. If you
have any questions or concerns, please contact Sargon, Serendipity or
Antiochus.
