Foyer -- Ginaz Embassy (Kaitain)
The dark blue marble exterior of the embassy has seemingly desolved
into a gleaming white marble with gray veins in a circular room.
There are high arches and sweeping buttresses meeting the ground
with Ionic style pillars made of black marble with gold veins. A
ceiling extends to the very roof of the building. There is a kind of
circle within a circle within a circle. The flying buttresses sweep
out and come down in the exact center of the room ending in fourteen
pillars. Between each of these pillars is a desk with an attendant
seated. The second circle is considered the inner circle. This is
made by a series of twenty-eight archways, which leave twenty feet
between the arches and the real wall, at each of these pillars
stands a Ginaz Out-world Guardsman in full-dress. This inner circle
contains all of the exits to the different wings of the embassy.

Darvin walks in from Dining Room through the Gilded Doors.
Boris rubs his hands together, looking after Miles as he departs. "Do
I smell food that way, eh?"
Darvin returns flicking handsigns to the Marquis and company.
Leandra grins at Isabel, "I had better start directing the men that
way or we will never get around to eating."
Ivanova moves towards Morgen and presents him with a pleasant, yet
formal smile, "Evening Marquis. I am afraid my brother has taken ill
and will not be able to attend this eve." She curtsies. Iason is
just a bit delayed in entering, for some reason.
Darvin looks suffiecently pleased with the gathering.
Isabel turns to gaze at the men, catching bits and pieces of
conversation.
Morgen's absently strokes his nose and says "I know the feeling..."
his hand drops back to his side and says "Please send our
condolensces."
Boris says, "As Lady Leandra says, let's not waste time chatting! The
food's getting cold!"
Sediassa walks to the northwest and passes through the Gilded Doors.
Boris claps a friendly arm around Praxton's shoulder. "Ho there, old
hawk."
Ivanova nods her head, "of course Marquis."
Terias cocks an eyebrow at the Baron's bearing towards his Duke, but
remains silent.
"And you, you pirate. We seem to keep bumping into each other,"
Praxton replies.
Morgen motions toward the doorway of the dining room "M'lady, the food
and refreshments are located in the dining room where we will be
continuing the banquet and evening."
Boris says, "Come, old rival. Let's go and devour and drink like fish,
eh?"
Leandra makes her way into the dining room to oversee things.
Leandra walks to the northwest and passes through the Gilded Doors.
Morgen looks to Boris then to Praxton and asks with a hint of humor in
his voice "My Baron would not deprive me of the chance to greet the
Duke?"
Isabel walks to the northwest and passes through the Gilded Doors.
Iason's reason for being late becomes apparent as he pushes fully
through the doors - he's carrying an armload of presents.
Boris chuckles. "No, no, greet away. I'm too hungry to chat!"
Boris walks to the northwest and passes through the Gilded Doors.
Ivanova smiles at Morgen, finding his attentions elsewhere, she
follows the crowd inward.
Ivanova walks to the northwest and passes through the Gilded Doors.
Darvin says, "Sire, if you'd allow me the honor of watching the door,
perhaps you can join our guests?"
Morgen looks to darvin an eyebrowe arched he says "It is the Hosts
duty to attend to the door, please see to our guests in the Dining
room"
Praxton watches Iason enter, then looks for the Marquis. "Your Grace,
I took the liberty of selecting a few gifts for you on this merry
occasion."
Iason bows deeply to the others as he finally arrives, trying to not
be too clumsy as he does so, with the presents proffered before him.
Morgen bows to Praxton then offering his hand he says "My friend that
is quite generous of you, thankyou. It is good to see again, in a
somewhat less formal setting."
Darvin walks to the northwest and passes through the Gilded Doors.
Terias smiles at Iason's difficulty. "Oh, my boy, you shouldn't
stuggle so. Let me help you." He carefully selects the tiniest gift
from the top of the stack.
Praxton accepts Morgen's hand and pumps it enthusiastically.
"Generosity had nothing to do with it. Please, accept these, and we
will break bread with you with a cleaner concience."
Iason inclines his head a bit, as he looks around.
Morgen chuckles at Terias and then nods to Praxton "Thankyou again,
Duke
Atreides." he motions for two servants to relieve Iason of the burden.
Iason straightens only after the servants take his burden.
Terias hands his gift off as if a great burden had been lifted from
his shoulders.
Iason bows again to Morgen as the servants bear the gifts away.
Morgen nods toward the Dining room and says "The evening will be
continuing with Dinner servered in the Dining room, I'll be joing
everyone there shortly, after I have greated all of the guests..."
he reguards the two other atreides and looks first to Iason and
says...
Morgen says, "Lord ambassador it is a pleasure to see you again..."
Morgen bows to iason then turns his attention to Terias and says to
Praxton "I do not believe that i have had the pleasure of meeting
your legendary mentat."
Iason smiles a bit, straightening once more.
Terias smiles and bows formally. "Your graciousness precedes you,
Marquis. The old bones don't let me get out of the office as much as
they used to."
Praxton realizes his faux-pas and makes presentations quickly, "My
apologies, Marquis, I tend to take this old derelict for granted.
He's served the Atreides since I was a babe in arms," he says
jokingly.
Terias laughs heartily.
Morgen chuckles politely at Praxton's joke and say "Sometime, my lord
Duke it would be a pleasure for our mentats to meet, I fear
sometimes that Chancellor Sidney grows lonely with no one of his
intelligence to relate to."
Praxton replies, "Terias is free to do as he wishes. Although what two
Mentats would talk about is beyond the reckoning of mortal men such
as ourselves, Marquis."
Terias snorts. "Actually, we just try to see who can put the other to
sleep first with abstract calculations."
Morgen smiles and motions to the dining room saying "If M'lord is
hungry we have prepaired a modest meal for yourself and our guests.
If you do not mind I have some other guests to attend to other
guests.."
Iason looks around. "PErhaps we should head in, milords?
Terias nods silently and looks to his Duke for the lead.
Steffan walks in from Dining Room through the Gilded Doors.
Steffan bows to all as he enters.
Iason waits for the others to go before him.
Steffan mutters to Morgen, "Please... and eat... our..."
Praxton walks to the northwest and passes through the Gilded Doors.
You walk through the Gilded Doors.
Dining Room -- Ginaz Embassy (Kaitain)
If you've seen most the embassy; and security hopes that you haven't,
you know that this room is a departure from the grays, blues and
blacks of the rest of the embassy, this rooms is dominated by a rose
colored marble with sky blue veins. The room is dominated by a
massive teak table. The walls are decorated with tapestries
detailing the history of House Ginaz, or religious symbolism's, as
well as cathedral style ceilings and stain glass windows that look
into the Gardens. Servants dressed in Out-World uniforms provide
service. The food appears excellent and the variance of dishes suits
the whim of the individual requesting a meal. The quality of the
food also seems increases a full measure when distinguished guests
arrive or banquets are being held. A guardsmen stands at each
entrance in full dress again displaying the same rigidity of stance
and discipline of those representing House Ginaz.
Players:
Boris Miles
Darvin Ornia
Iason Praxton
Isabel Terias
Ivanova Zorion
Leandra
Exits:
Silver Laden Door <NW> leads to Apartments -- Ginaz Embassy (Kaitain)
Gilded Doors <SE> leads to Foyer -- Ginaz Embassy (Kaitain)
Ivanova nods her head, repeating, "Ginazian Sake." She smiles, "You
will have to do me the honor of trying some of our Ecaz teas one
day... " she looks towards Leandra, "You and your mother of course."
Ornia looks at her mother adoringly, "We would be honored."
Darvin nods, trying to seem less than disgusted with the Harkonnen's
manners.
Once the salads and breads are laid out, the servents bring in the
main course. It is all laid out buffet style so people can help
themselves as they wish. The main course is Peking duck and Cornish
game hens.
Ivanova smiles and inclines her head, "Most excellent. I shall leave
information with your servants as the best way to reach me." She
smiles, "and now, I am afraid I am being rude by hording the guest
of honor all to myself..."
Leandra smiles at Ivanova's invitation.
Zorion helps himself to a hen.
Ornia inclines her head. "I guess I should mingle. Good day My Lady."
Boris seizes up a hen as well, tearing into it with abandon, skin
bones and all. He roars with delight.
Ivanova nods and curtsies, moving away from the pair and into the
general crowd again. In doing so she notices Boris's actions and
raises an eyebrow, almost breaking into a laughter.
Isabel continues to sip her wine, grinning a little as she watches
Boris enjoy his meal.
Ornia makes her way toward Isabel, "Lady Versey, are you enjoying
yourself?"
Iason follows his Duke and the mentat quietly, looking around.
Isabel glances at Ornia and smiles warmly, "yes, thank
you...felicitations on your birthday. It's a lovely party.'
Using Aglicon, Terias says, "... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
... ... ..."
Boris says to Praxton, "Here, Duke Atreides, come and try this food.
No pundi rice, I'm afraid, though..."
Using Aglicon, Praxton says, "... ... ... ... ... ... ... ..."
Ornia smiles softly, "Thank you Lady Versey. I'm so happy so many
could come."
Ivanova moves towards the Baron, "My my... aren't we enjoying
ourselves this eve Baron Harkonnen."
"What?," Praxtons asks in mock horror. "No pundi? Dear heaven, Baron,
how can you inhale such comestibles?"
Terias smiles and bows to the Baron. "Oh, don't worry, Baron. You know
we carry our own."
Isabel says, "It's a good turn out."
Zorion Smiles at his Baron's comment.
Boris says to Ivanova, "Indeed we are, indeed. And are you, my lady
Ivanova?"
Darvin walks over towards his Demi-sister.
Darvin pulls a small package out of his uniform coat.
Darvin mutters to Ornia, "... Birthday..."
Ornia's eye widen, "What is this?"
Isabel glances from Ornia to Darvin.
Ornia take the package and gives Darvin a kiss on the cheek. "Thank
you."
Ivanova tilts her head, "I'm afraid I do not have as much fun as my
esteemed cousin Marion did at your Fete... but I find the company
quite pleasant Baron." She turns to nod at those nearby.
Darvin smiles as he recieves the kiss.
Cato walks in from Foyer through the Gilded Doors.
Ivanova smiles towards Boris as he whispers something. She leans
forward and whispers back.
Iason seats himself with his Duke and the others, looking around
silently.
Ornia opens the package, "A music box" she sings then flicks the
switch to hear the music, Sweet notes escape from the small box,
"Song of Marcinko. My favorite," and with that she gives him another
kiss.
Darvin smiles, embarrased by the attention.
Ornia hands the music box to her lady in waiting and grabs her
demi-brothers arm.
Ivanova leans back her head and lets out a light, restrained chuckle,
"Perhaps Baron... Perhaps."
Boris speaks quietly to Ivanova.
Darvin smiles abashed by all the attention from his Demi-sister.
Steffan walks in from Foyer through the Gilded Doors.
Steffan strides accross the room.
Steffan walks to the northwest and passes through the Silver Laden
Door.
Cato practically sneaks into the room, doing his best to not be
noticed... rather, that his previous _abscence_ not be noticed. Cato
approaches the Marquise quietly, and murmurs something to her with
an abashed look on his face.
Boris lifts a goblet of wine. "Let's have a toast, eh?" he bellows.
Ornia leads Darvin toward Isabel, "Lady Versey have you met our Count
Myakinin?"
Steffan walks in from Foyer through the Gilded Doors.
Ivanova lifts her own glass of Gizian Shake, "What shall we toast to
Baron?"
Isabel stands andsmiles at the Count, "Have we met?"
Ornia turns her attention to the Baron.
Darvin smiles at Isabel, "Once I believe I ran into you at the
imperial hotel Madam."
Boris says, "Our grand hosts, the Ginaz, masters of the blade. Eh? And
their Siridar, the splendid Morgen. Indestructible!"
Praxton raises his glass. "Hear hear, Morgen!"
Iason takes a glass to raise.
Isabel raises her glass.
Zorion wanders slowly around the room.
Ornia lifts her glass and joins in the toast.
Steffan raises his goblet with a broad smile.
Leandra raises her glass to join in the toast.
Boris gulps down his wine with a roar of laughter.
Terias lifts his glass respectfully.
Cato glances around quickly and snatches a goblet off on a passing
servant's tray. He then raises it in the toast, striking as
respectable an image as possible.
Ornia mutters to Isabel, "Are... Myakinin is quite the... bachalor."
Ivanova completes the lift and drinks.
Boris claps the person next to him on his shoulder, who happens to be
Cato.
Isabel drinks and grins at Ornia before turning her attention back to
Darvin.
Cato starts slighlty, and then smiles politely (if strained) at his
neighbor.
"To your health as well, Noble Born." Cato drains the glass to its
dregs. Steffan walks to the southeast and passes through the Gilded
Doors.
Darvin smiles, as he was off in a daze, "It seems that my work is
becoming my pleasure, perhaps I should make my pleasure my work?"
Isabel says, "Oh? How's that?"
Darvin says, "Well, many people think that diplomacy is all about old
men talking to each other, its more than that. I have forms, papers,
aides to appease. I feel sorry for the Marquis, if I have this much
trouble, he must have twice the load."
Isabel nods, "But surely you have time to play?"
Cato throws a minor scowl at Darvin when he overhears the crack on old
men talking to each other, but returns his attention to the Siridar
in front of him.
Boris laughs at Cato's toast and refills the fellow's glass himself,
refilling his own in the process. He raises his glass again. "And to
you, fellow."
Darvin grins, "Perhaps I don't have the proper playmate?" winking to
Isabel.
Isabel laughs softly, "Perhaps you'd like to give me a little tour of
the grounds?"
Ornia giggles, "Perhaps our Darvin can see the Lady Versay home when
the time comes?"
Cato smiles like he's never had a better friend than Boris in his
whole life, and toasts him again... an element of dread creeping
into his eyes as the thought of a drinking competition with the
large man materializes in his mind.
Leandra glances at Ornia with a small frown and moves over to her.
Ivanova looks about, "Tell me Baron Harkonnen, where abouts is your
daughter this eve?"
Darvin nods to Isabel, "My Pleasure, I see that your influence is
already working."
Leandra mutters to Ornia, "How... to drink..."
Darvin offers Lady Versey his arm.
Ornia releases Darvin's arm and addresses her mother.
Isabel gives her wine glass to a passing servant and takes Darvin's
arm with a smile.
Boris roars with laughter, gulping down the wine happily. "Your name,
then?"
Ornia mutters to Leandra, "I've... birthday,..."
Cato bows shortly to Boris, "Earl Mikio Emmanuel Cato of Saratahiko,
my Lord. You might remember that am and the representative of this
House to your own."
Leandra sighs and smiles at Ornia, "Indeed it is."
Darvin smiles at Isabel as he guides her over to a corner of the room
to talk.
Boris claps the man's shoulder. "Of course! Representative Cato! How
could I forget?" he says, laughing. "Come and see us, sometime, eh?
We've much to discuss."
Leandra pulls out a slim box and offers it to Ornia, "From your father
and I."
Cato throws glance after glance at his young Minister of State, frown
lines creeping onto his forehead (marring his perfect smile).
Isabel moves with Darvin to a quieter corner and speaks softly with
him.
Ornia swoons, "Oh Mother, with all that's happened I can't believe
you've found the time."
Zorion crosses the room to Boris.
Cato's eyes snap back to Boris, and he bows deeply, "But the honor is
mine, Noble Born! House Ginaz and House Harkonnen have a great deal
in common... there are many topics deserving of our discussion."
Darvin hears a loud disturbance in the hall, several servants enter
flicking signs to him.
Jans walks in from Foyer through the Gilded Doors.
Boris says to Cato, "Of course, of course." he chuckles.
Ivanova looks out towards the hallway and tilts her head. She turns
back to look towards members of House Ginaz to see what their
reaction is.
Darvin sees the servants and shoots a look at Cato.
Ornia gasps as she opens the box. "Oh Mother." she takes in another
deep breath, "This is too much, this is a family heirloom... Surely
I can't take this."
Isabel nods to Darvin, smiling, "Of course."
Ornia holds a matching diamond and ruby choker necklace and earings.
Small Onyx beads serpare the jewels.
Leandra smiles at Ornia, "It was your grandmothers. She wanted you to
have it."
Darvin stands walking slowly towards the door.
Boris whispers to Zorion.
Steffan walks in from Foyer through the Gilded Doors.
Jans smiles as he enters with the lady and two servants bearing gifts
in tow. He taps his cane on the floor. He notices the Siridar-Baron
Harkonnen, and the Siridar-Duke Atreides and bows to them, then
makes his way toward the Marquise and her daughter, waiting to be
called upon.
Zorion leans toward Boris.
Leandra frowns at the disturbance, her eyes flickering towards Darvin.
As she spots Karin and Jans she gives them both a polite smile and
nod.
Morgen walks in from Foyer through the Gilded Doors.
Boris nods to the na-Viscount with a chuckle.
Ornia gets assistance from her servant and wears the jewels proudly.
She kisses her mother cheek and whispers to her.
Darvin approached the Marquis.
Ivanova moves as if to follow Darvin. Her eyes intently staring at the
hallway doors.
Cato chuckles in eerie timing with Boris, almost like they'd gone to
the same school of fake chuckling. Under the cover of such good
spirits, Cato makes some very subtle handsigns in the direction of
Darvin, eyes flickering that direction to make sure of recognition.
Karin courtseys upon entering the dining room, her grey-blue eyes
taking in the occupants of the room. Hardly a moment passes before
Jans frees himself from her side and heads toward the Marquise and
her daughter. Karin and the two Alvstad servants follow dutifully
behind.
Ornia mutters to Leandra, "Thanks... honored this day."
Leandra smiles at Jans and Karin as they approach, "I am so pleased
that you were able to join us."
Darvin whispers to the Marquis, as the noises become more audible.
Isabel follows Darvin part-way across the room, pausing to smile at
Jans and drop him a curtsy before her gaze turns to Darvin again
curiously.
Ornia seems to be in a daze.
Darvin looks at Isabel shaking his head.
Morgen enters the room and smiles at all he surveys.
Darvin returns to Lady Versey's side.
Jans smiles, dipping his head just a bit. "It is we who are pleased to
wish you joy on this good eve, my lady. My father has sent a gift
for your Household, and I have also selected one for you." He
motions two the two servants, then looks toward the Marquise, "If I
may, Lady?"
Darvin fingersigns Cato.
Morgen nods to Darvin.
Leandra blushes prettily and nods, "But of course."
Ornia's eyes fill with tears. "Mother, if you would excuse me a
moment."
Ornia walks to the southeast and passes through the Gilded Doors.
Jans smiles, "First, my father would see your House fed for one good
meal, at he least." As he nods, one of the servants opens a vaccuum
sealed container, bearing at least a dozen 2-3 pound salmon. He
turns toward the Lady Ornia, "And this, my lady, I have selected
personally for you." He nods to the other servant, who hands him a
small wrapped parcel.
Ivanova moves towards MOrgen and smiles at him, "Marquis, I'm pleased
you have rejoined us." She moves to walk along his side.
Cato turns to regard Zorion, smiling like he could not stop if he
wanted to. "Master Whermarch, I don't believe we have ever met. The
pleasure is all mine."
Praxton observes this quietly, his manner unassuming and his humor
light and cheerful.
An audible thud is heard from behind the exit to the foyer.
Karin smiles warmly at Leandra, courtseying once again. She opens her
mouth as though to speak, but Jans' words slip by quickly. She
contents herself with a nod and another smile. Then she glances at
the girl nearby. A small frown creases her brow as the girl speaks,
then hurries off.
Morgen looks worried to Darvin and whispers something to him.
Jans pauses momentarily, then smiles. He leans in close to Leandra.
Ivanova looks again down the foyer and then towards the Marquis.
Distracted by something, Zorion never-the-less snaps his heels
together and bows at the waist to Cato.
Jans mutters to Leandra, "Too... can... bit... to you,... upon...
at..."
Isabel takes another glass of wine from a tray and continues speaking
softly with Darvin, nodding to something he says and smiling again.
Darvin mutters to Isabel, "My lady, I... is... accept... apologies,...
must leave,..."
Darvin detaches himself from Lady Versey, and moves over toward the
door.
Darvin walks to the southeast and passes through the Gilded Doors.
Morgen moves away from the door apparently not flinching at the noise
he makes his way to the refreshments.
Leandra begins to thank Jans when she is distracted by Ornia's
departure. After watching her daughter depart she turns her
attention back to Jans, smiling warmly, "However you prefer, m'lord.
I am sure that Ornia would be delighted to recieve the present from
your hands."
Darvin walks in from Foyer through the Gilded Doors.
Cato, hearing the general drop of voices in the room (as everyone is
curious about just what, exactly, is going on in the hall), also
lowers his voice as he introduces himself to Zorion.
Leandra lowers her voice and speaks apologetically, "I am afraid the
last gift she recieved had more of an emotional impact than I
expected."
Darvin stands in half in the foyer, half in the dining room, when all
the Guests hear a loud BOOM!
Zorion says, "My lord ambassador, the honor is mine."
Darvin is thrown from one end of the dining room to the other.
Jans smiles, "Of course, my lady. I shall hold this until such a time
can be made." He nods, "I also, look forward to presenting this to
her."
Ivanova watches Darvin and then speaks again to Morgen, "Is
everything...." The sound make her stop mid-sentence and turn about.
Darvin squirms unconsciously.
Praxton stands suddendly, looking around, eyes open and alert.
Morgen is thrown against the refreshments table by the force of the
blast.
Boris ducks, hand groping for his kindjal. "What the blazing hell?" he
swears.
Iason rises hastily, with a dancer's grace as he looks around with
alert, bird-quick motions as he scans the room.
Jans motions for the servants to take his father's gift where the
Ginaz servants would like it placed. He then tucks his cane under
his arm, turning to see what all the commotion is about.
Leandra jumps at the sound, her glass slipping from her fingers and
dropping to the floor, shattering on impact. She throws a quick,
nervous look at her husband.
Zorion step quickly to the Baron and activates his shield.
Cato rushes across the room to place himself as a human shield between
Leandra and... whatever is out there.
Terias rises quickly, his hand going to his shield, and places himself
between his Duke and the apparent source of the noise.
Darvin's leg is peppered with shrapnel, and his uniform is torn in
several spots, he is blackened on his left side from the explosion.
Miles is awakened by the noise and glances about curiously.
Steffan runs to Darvin's side, "Count...!"....
Ivanova leans forward and reaches towards Morgen, "Sir, are you okay?"
She leans an arm forward as if to help him balance himself.
Isabel drops her glass as she stumbles, then moves toward Darvin to
see how badly he's hurt.
Leandra stifles a cry and rushes to Morgen's side, all else forgotten.
Using Aglicon, Terias says, "... ... ... ... ..."
Karin nods. "I deduced as much, m'lady," she murmurs. "A
very...sensitive young lady...." Her words trail off as she gasps at
the sound of the explosion and turns abruptly to see what has
happened. Her movement takes her out of Leandra's path as that woman
hurries to the Marquis' side.
House Ginaz soldiers come rushing into the room fallowed by medics who
quickly attend to Darvin's broken body. The soldiers quickly fan out
into the room as if they have no idea what is happening and need a
commander to tell them what to do.
Miles barks orders, "Secure the area. No one in or out."
Darvin moans as bright red spots flow all along his left leg clear up
to his waist. As the guests note the double doors of the dining room
are completely pock marked with shrapnel, and are quite
unserviceable.
Using Aglicon, Praxton says, "... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
... ...
... ... ... ..."
Miles says, "Get a medic in here, now."
Boris bellows, "Someone tell me what's going on here!"
Terias activates his shield and interposes himself between his Duke
and the confusion.
Praxton shouts, "Guards! Guards!"
Morgen has come to rest ihalf of his body on the refreshments table
the other half dangling off it, his eyes are glazed over.
Miles says, "I want weapons squads in here, and two more
layers--exterior walls of the Embassy and the gates."
Leandra drops to her knees beside her husband, oblivious to everything
else occuring around her. She cradles his head gently, speaking to
her, "Morgen? Love? Can you hear me?"
Darvin moans in utter pain, as the guards apply first aid to him.
Iason moves nimbly and quickly, exploding into action as he goes to
flank his Duke's other side, eyes and ears peeled for further
activity even as he races throught he confusion.
Isabel watches the medics work, a concerned look on her face.
Miles moves to Morgen and begins working on the trauma.
Praxton watches his old master steeling himself to action, and decides
to aid. "Master Miles!"
Ivanova reaches out completely for the Marquis's body. The weight
though is far too much for her. She looks about, "Someone... bring
the Suk here! The Marquis!"
The troops salute Miles and move to carry out his orders.
Darvin regains hazy consciousness, "Father! Father!" he moans loudly.
Jans steps back from the dais, a respectful distance, calmly surveying
the surroundings.
Cato makes sure that both the Marquis and the Marquise are at least
alive (though one can never tell with Morgen) and then hurries over
to Boris's position, platitudes flowing out of him before he's even
half-way there. "..nothing to be concerned about... security.. well
in hand..."
Karin looks on, aghast, at the two men lying on the floor, a hive of
activity around them. Her eyes are wide, uncomprehending as she
stares.
Terias tries to move to prevent Praxton's actions. "Milord, please,
your safety."
A trooper moves in with additional Shield belts and straps them onto
anyone who doesn't already have one active. "If you see a lasgun,
turn it off. Quickly."
Boris points with his kindjal. "Saboteurs? Assassins? I'm going
outside to investigate. I won't crouch here like some coward!"
Miles yells for hot water, towels, and a knife.
More soldiers file in quickly forming a semi-circle around the
Marquis.
Miles applies pressure to the major wound on Morgen, and waits for
what he needs.
Terias pulls out his communicator and begins speaking clipped commands
over it.
Ivanova lays a hand gently upon Leandra's arm, "He'll be okay
Marquise." She barks at one of the guards, "Don't just stand there!
Find the Suk! NOW!"
Steffan mutters to Miles, "I... Moritani enter... arrived... the
dining..."
Miles says, "I don't suppose I could borrow a pair of hands, could I?"
Jans ignores the sheild belt, holding his cane loosely, but in two
hands. He motions for the Alvstad servants to grab Karin and move
her near him.
Praxton boils in a rare fit of seething anger. "Cowardice! Vile,
unspeakable cowardice!" He strides out the chamber on Boris' heels,
deftly picking a longsword of a trooper in passing.
