------------------------------------------

Room One -- Vonleiben Hotel (Kaitain)

This room is hung with scarlet draperies and black velvet walls. A
bed lies towards the left side. While in the backside is a large black
cabinet.

Erich looks out the window of the hotel room. He turns to Johann. "When are
we supposed to meet our contact?"
Johann wakes up from a deep slumber....
Johann shakes his head, rubs his rather sore face, and says, "In about a
half hour, have we been followed? or are we under survellance?"
Erich shakes his head "No. I was just in contact with one of my men. Two of
them followed us from the Embassy. They just gave me the all clear."
Johann nods, "Good, its time we get moving...."

You walk through the Black Door.

Upstairs Hallway -- Vonleiben Hotel (Kaitain)(#1895RntJ)

The hallway extends many distances away from the staircase's top.
Along the hallway are many doorways leading to various rooms.

You descend the Scarlet Red Staircase.

Kaitain Gentlemen's Club -- Vonleiben Hotel (Kaitain)(#1906RLntJ)

The room opens up into a wide arena of cigar smoke and alcohol.
Scattered throughout the room are many tables and booths. The back wall is
dominated with a well stocked bar, paneled in cherry wood and cut decored
glass. On the left side of the bar is a scarlet red staircase leading to a
second level.

You walk through the Wooden Double Doors.

Vonleiben Hotel -- Einrike Plaza (Kaitain)

The room rises up the full five stories of the building to clear
plasiglass looking up into the Kaitain sky. The center of the space is
dominated by a fountain built around a realistically painted globe of the
planet Straum. On the right is the hotel desk area where guests and
employees bustle about day and night. On the left, a bar and several
wandering waiters serve the individuals and small groups scattered about
groups of chairs and couches, the lobby lounge distributed around the rest
of the room.

Johann smiles as he sees Randall sitting in the lounge.
Erich walks in from Kaitain Gentlemen's Club through the Wooden Double Doors.
Erich has arrived.
Randall smiles upon seeing the other two enter.
Erich nods discreetly to Randall
Johann motions west.

You walk along the Circular Driveway.

Einrike Plaza -- Central District (Kaitain)

The square plaza is built around the tomb and monument to Einrike
of Henoor. The gardens and facilities are kept immaculate, like everything
in the Central District, but the scenery does not betray the same
extravagance as many other parts. The plaza is lined with shops and
boutiques aimed at the petty nobility and high ranking servants of royalty.
Small alleys and streets lead from the open and light of the square to some
of the more "colorful" parts of the district.

Randall walks in from Vonleiben Hotel along the Circular Driveway.
Randall has arrived.
Erich walks in from Vonleiben Hotel along the Circular Driveway.
Erich has arrived.
Johann motions north.

You walk along the Lion's Tail Road.

City Center -- Central District (Kaitain)

A 200-meter tall statue of a lion dominates the City Center. The
lion, rearing up on its hind legs and roaring toward the north, appears to
be made of polished gold. A narrow road passes under the statue and
directly through the small park surrounding the lion's feet. Around that is
a multi-lane traffic circle, with wide tree-lined avenues leading to the
four corners of the city... and the Universe.

Randall walks in from Einrike Plaza along the Lion's Tail Road.
Randall has arrived.
Erich walks in from Einrike Plaza along the Lion's Tail Road.
Erich has arrived.
You request a taxi over your communicator.
A Kaitain Taxi pulls up near Johann.
Kaitain Taxi

Although clean, the interior is sparse and utilitarian. The seats
are made of a thick, stiff leather-like material, durable but not
necessarily comfortable. A clear divider seperates the passenger
compartment from the driver, a small metal screen in the middle provides a
way for communication.

Randall has arrived.
Erich has arrived.
The driver nods.
There is a sense of acceleration as the taxi picks up speed.
Johann relaxes, and waits for the taxi to take them to the spaceport.
The taxi decelerates steadily and comes to a smooth stop.
Johann looks to Erich, "These smugglers are reliable...."
Erich nods as he speaks into a communicator"Yes. I just checked, we are
clean. No tails."
Randall leans back into his seat, and rests his hands on his knees.
Using Lear, Johann says, "Okay, turn off the communicator and leave it in
the taxi."
Erich nods and disables the communicator before putting it on the taxi floor.
Johann looks to Randall, "You too."
Randall sighs and tosses his communicator away.
Johann puts his own communicator under the seat in front of him.

Main Terminal -- Guild Spaceport (Kaitain)

A high plateau commands view of the entire city. Opening above is
the wide expanses of the sky. A large Guild Frigate seems to always be at
dock here. Off to one side is the entrance to the military garrison,
isolated by a thick black wall and a gated opening. In the other open
spaces are single story buildings allowing for storage.

Erich exits the Kaitain Taxi.
Erich has arrived.
Randall exits the Kaitain Taxi.
Randall has arrived.
Johann motions west.

You pass the Mall.

Mall - Guild Spaceport (Kaitain)

The Mall is a long strip of stores situated near the end of the
Guild Spaceport. Many who come to Kaitain for the first time visit the
various shops and eateries along the way.

Randall comes from the Main Terminal.
Randall has arrived.
Erich comes from the Main Terminal.
Erich has arrived.
Johann looks as inconspicuous as possible...
Erich moves off to a newstand and begins to leaf through the papers.
Randall thrusts his hands into his pockets and looks at the scenery around him.
The two, the old man and the young girl at his side, begin to walk away
down the street.
Erich moves closer to Johann.
Johann moves to Hemikek, saying, "Do you have the time sir?"
Erich whispers, "we must be cautious. that was an imperial."
Erich watches the pair intently as they walk away.
Johann gives a curse nod to his friend....
Randall moves close enough to the group to hear what they're saying.
Erich carefully surveys the darkened mall.
Hemikek takes a deep breath as he looks at his timepiece, he then looks up
indifferently with a thin smile, "Just before noon sir..."
Johann looks at his watch, "Do you know when the frigate Imperium's
Handmaiden leaves?"
Hemikek looks at suspiciously at Erich for a moment before answering. "Im
not sure, ask the Guild attendent over there for departure times...."
Johann looks at the man as if this is his cue, "But I wanted to know the
way to Marakesh, I need to meet my brothers there.... Do you know of a
frigate that can take my cousins to our homeworld?"
Now Hemikek's stare has shifted to Randall. He pulls a lighter from his
pocket and lights a cigarette that he has stuck in his mouth.
"Markesh....ah yes ....the pearl of the Sasar sytem....I know it well.
Indeed a frigate is departing shortly. Your arrival is quite fortuitous..."
Johann jingles a bag of coin, "We can pay, we have little, but our brothers
have much.."
Johann signals his companions over, "Can you take us on this frigate Sir?"
Erich walks over next to Johann.
Randall slowly strolls towards Johann
Erich pulls his long coat closer to him.
A crooked smile breaks on Hemikek's face revealing only the few dark teeth
he has left. "Yes...The Brothers HAVE a great deal don't they. And I will
require a great deal for this frigate. I require little but they....." he
says while looking now at the Guildsman attendants, " they are not cheap. "
He squeezes the bag still clutched by Johann. "Perhaps it is enough
...perhaps..."

Hemikek

Before you is a man wearing a grey tunic. He is short and quite
obese with a large balding spot on the back of his head. A small scar, yet
deep runs down his left cheek.

Johann nods, "If you take us to the frigate I can give you many of these
bags, solaris to help any problem."
You whisper, "Give me some of the money in your pouch...." to Erich.
Erich nods and passes a pouch to Johann.
Johann holds both pouches in one hand, as if to show the deal.
Hemikek nods, stroking the short bristles of his beard. He scans the area
breifly, "yes...we need to leave this public place before we are spotted.
You are friends of the brothers and we can negotiate a fair price at
another time."
Johann nods.
Hemikek nods to the east and begins waddling slowy in that direction.

You pass the Main Terminal.

Hemikek comes from the Mall - Guild Spaceport.
Hemikek has arrived.
Randall comes from the Mall - Guild Spaceport.
Randall has arrived.
Erich comes from the Mall - Guild Spaceport.
Erich has arrived.
Erich glances around the darkened terminal.

        Spacing Guild Guardsman

A tall, burly male wears a stark guardsman's uniform. He is
carrying a bizarre contraption that looks half organic and half mechanical.
Whatever it is, you decide it is nasty and don't mess with him.
He leans close to you and asks, "What would you like to hear about?"
  1. New Bajazet
  2. More Bajazet

Randall crosses his long arms across his chest, as he waits for what is
going to happen next.
Hemikek points down the row of frigates. "It the next to the last one. You
see that man standing there next to the entrance.....that one...he's
looking at us now. Pay him. That way there will be no way that the trip can
be traced back to me specifically. I was told only to show you where to
go..."
Johann nods, "Thank you for the time, and the frigate good sir, here is a
show of our gratitude." Johann hands Hemikek a few solaris.
Johann signals the others to move to the man down by the frigate.
Hemikek hears Erich's whisper and his left brow raises, "I am honored to
serve..."
Erich nods to Hemikek and moves along.
Johann starts down the line of frigates....
Erich follows him
Randall turns and follows the others, ignoring Hemikek.
Hemikek jiggles the coins with a smile and bows.
Johann looks at the man at the end of the line of frigates, he looks much
like Dominic in face and bearing.
"Hello." Johann says as he approaches the man, "Are you going to Marakesh?"
A young man smiles, as the party approaches, while looking carefully at
each one. A look of panic begins to come over his face as they get closer.
Johann gets closer, waiting to see what the man will do....
You mutter to Erich, "Isn't this your brother?"
Erich nods and moves closer to the man.
The young man speaks into the frigate, as if someone is there. This young
man looks around at the other frigates especially behind the three men. He
then clicks his fingers and a flood of six men, weapons drawn, surround the
three that are approaching.
Johann looks at ease, and starts laughing as the men surround him, "Is this
how business is done on Arrakis?" he says.....
Randall stiffens, but doesn't make a move.
Erich stands and waits to see what happens.
With quite a poker face, the young man turns his attention to Erich aand
walks up to him. He ignores Johann for the moment. "My brother.." he
repeats, "my brother asked me to meet him here, and only he knows of
Ignatius." He then lets out a beaming smil and embraces his brother. Still
clutching him he remarks to his men in a strange language. They relax and
begin walking back to the Main Terminal. "Forgive me my brother. We cannot
be too careful. " He then walks over the Johann and half bows. "Sir,
Everthing is what it should be. Let us depart..."
Johann nods, "Good, good, please lead on..."
Erich smiles and begins to follow.
Randall relaxes and thrusts his fists back into his pockets.
Johann nods in congratulations to Erich.

Editor's Note: Due to the circumstances we merely emited this passage
rather than RP through a space voyage. We did this primarily due to the
incomplete nature of the space transport system on the MUSH, and that it
was not essential to the TP.

TWO WEEKS ABORD THE HEIGHLINER HAVE PASSED, AND THE SMALL SMUGGLER FRIGATE
LANDS ON MARCINKO

Lobby -- Guild Spaceport (Marcinko)(#1450RntJ)

The revolving door is made of 5 large panes of tinted glass that
revolve around a common axis. Next to it, is regular door of the same
construction which can be opened for luggage or handicapped people.

Erich comes from the Guild Heighliner.
Erich has arrived.
Randall comes from the Guild Heighliner.
Randall has arrived.
Johann looks up as the smuggler frigate blasts off leaving the men on their
homeworld...
Randall takes a deep breath as a happy smile crosses his face.
Erich looks around the spaceport.
Johann flips a subtle handsign, 'be careful' to his companions...
Erich nods at Johann and lets his hand drift in the vicinity of the inside
of his coat.
Johann looks in the crowd of the spaceport for the man he is to meet...
Eamonn is standing up against the tinted glass as the three men approach.
He is keeping a eye on them and on passerbys as well trying not to look
obvious.
Johann moves towards the exit, still looking for someone...
Erich follows Johann, scanning the crowd for police or military.
Randall follows the other two men at a slower, more delebirate pace, trying
to look inconspicuous.

        Eamonn
