Is it Ceile or is it Memorex?

A note to begin the log with.....Justine is sleeping in bed when the form of Ceile appears to her. Hesakaya, the Ginaz Mentat, has been watching over her while Misha, Justine's new best friend (NOT! Bodyguard, really) takes a break and sleeps. I'm sure he's very thankful ;)

====================================================================================

A soft voice comes to Justine's ears only as a slightly cool-to-the-touch hand moves to brush over her forehead. "Wake up, Justine..."

Justine's body shivers as a cold, yet comforting chill comes over her. Her head head turns to the side a little and a soft moan emits from her. She mutters something quietly and incoherantly.

The hand moves down to pass beside the sleeping womans cheek before it falls to the side of the pale figure who is moving to sit on the beds side. There is no indent on the soft matress when she does, however. She repeats, quietly still, "Justine."

Justine's face leans against the non-existant hand and then slowly opens the slits of her eyes, just barely though, to see who is disturbing her slumber. Her brows furrow as she quietly asks, "Ce...Ceile? Is it you?"

Hesakaya raises a brow hearing a voice from the bed.

The Smiling, Ceile nods. "It is, Justine. I have missed you, and your visits." She doesn't move from the bed-side spot she's chosen. To anyone but Justine, she isn't there, so why move?

Tears form in Justine's eyes as they open more now, looking to what she believes to be her dear friend, Ceile. She sniffs quietly and pushes herself to a sitting position, "Oh Ceile! I've missed you so much! I can't believe you're really here." She leans forward and reaches out to hug the figure.

Ceile returns the hug gently. "I had to see you, and now...is best." She continues to smile, her less-than-substantial appearance not seeming to be noticable.

Justine frowns, "I'm sorry I haven't visited anymore. The...The Emperor, he..." She looks down to her lap, "He forced Steffan and I to be married and kicked me out of the Palace."

Ceile nods faintly, her eyes unusually dark, but as kind as always. "I know...I am happy you are wed, it may help you finally look past the hurts of the past, and move on. And be happy." She doesn't mention the palace bit.

Hesakaya slowly gets out of his chair as to not startle Justine or the person he cannot see. Reaching within his robes he extracts a small scanningdevice. softly he mumbles to himself as he adjusts the settings by memory. "Ceile...I wonder if she would mean...."

Justine's head shakes to Ceile, her teary eyes lifting to her friend, "No, I can't. I can't live like this, Ceile, you don't understand. He's so discompassionate, so cold and uncaring." Her head shakes, "Part of the reason why I left Alvstad was to get away from that. I promised that I would never marry someone unless it was for love." Her eyes lower again as the tears fall, "This isn't love."

Ceile nods slightly, her cool hand reaching to hook two fingers under Justine's chin and lift her head. "IT is love, Justine. If you let yourself admit it, it is...but his is a different way. He has not lived as you have, nor you as he. You must find common ground..." she advises quietly.

Hesakaya carefully activates the scannin device and points it towards the bed. The soft light and whirring sound emenate from the little handheld device. Testing to see if justine is responding to the outside world he softly calls for her. "Milady Garamond?"

Justine's head slowly rises when Ceile lifts it with her fingers. She looks to her friend sadly and with tears trickling down, "I've tried, Ceile. I swear that I have tried. I have poured out my heart and my soul to him and all he's done is rob me of them and leave me empty. I can't take this pain anymore."

Ceile shakes her head slowly. "You expect him to come fully and only to you, when you are not willing to go to him. This is now how things will work." she replies After a moment, she frowns softly, pulling her hand away and standing slowly. "I must leave you, my dear friend..."

Hesakaya looks at the results from the scanningdevice. Looking both relieved and surprised he takes a step closer still.

Justine's head shakes, "That's not true, Ceile! You don't know, you haven't seen!" She then looks paniced as her friend stands, her head leaning back a bit as she reaches out for Ceile's hands, "Ceile! Don't go! Don't leave me!"

Ceile shakes her head, almost seeming to float back out of Justine's reach, her form moving in the direction of the door. "You have those who love you here, Justine. Remember that, even if it is not always shown the way you would wish..."

Justine gasps as her hands move right through her friend's, not being able to get a hold of her. She looks down at her hands and then back up to Ceile as he cries out, "Ceile?? What...what's going on?" Then, it hits her...she cries and scrambles out of the bed, trying to follow her friend screaming in panic, "CEILE!! NO!! Why did you have to die?? Take me with you! Please take me with you! Don't leave me here!"

Ceile smiles sadly, her pale form beginning to loose it's faint grip on solidity. "I will always be with you, Justine. Whether you see me or not, I will be with you."

Hesakaya looks again on his scanning device and is now assured no harmful toxin resides in the air. Quickly deactivating the device and tossing it on the bed he touches justine's shoulder. He gives you a gentle shake. "Milady...Milady..wake up."

Justine screams, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" as Ceile leaves, a strong plea in her words. When Ceile disappears and Hesakaya touches her shoulder, she faints back against Hesakaya heavily. The bandage on her chest is bright red as all the movement and excitement as reopened the wound, causing it to bleed again.

Hesakaya catches her with ease. As attempts to revive her fail and seeing the blood seeping from the wound he takes action. Kicking open the door he shouts for the suk to hurry to the lady's quarters and moves her there.

A Suk rushes into Justine's room and tends to her wound asking, "How did this happen?"

Hesakaya gently lays justine in the bed intended for her, the room having much more of a feminine touch to it. "Sleep wandering...or wound induced hallucinations.. I scanned for any external agent to have this effect but the sniffers couldn't detect any." He moves aside to let the suk do his job.

The Suk nods as he tends to her wound and asks, "Sleep wandering? Hallucinations?" His head shakes, "Most odd."

Hesakaya says, "she seemed to have a discussion about the upcoming marriage with what seemed to one of the imperial consorts. The mother of the heir apparent no less."

The Suk looks somewhat confused, "The Baronin Lear's wedding?" He thinks for a moment and then nods, "Ah yes, the Lady Aguilira. I have heard that the Imperial Concubine Lady Aguilira and the Marquise Lear are very close friends." He looks more confused, "But why would she hallucinate about a friend?"

Hesakaya shrugs. "Maybe the wound triggered an emotional response?"

The Suk's head shakes and says, "I do not know, I will discuss this with Doctor Yuri and have him examine her and speak with you on what happened. Perhaps he will know something."

Hesakaya nods softly, kicking the door with a little dignified force. "I should've anticipated something like this..."

The Suk raises his brow and asks, "How could anyone anticipate something like this?"

Hesakaya says, "There are documented cases of emotional stress and shock leading to hallucinations and manifestations."

The Suk nods a bit and says, "Yes, I suppose so. But I think Doctor Yuri should handle this." He thinks for a moment and asks, "Do you wish to inform the Marquis or shall I?"

Hesakaya ponders this question. "I'm still unsure about the situation between the Marquis and the Lady Garamond. I would advise we keep the situation under consideration until this happens again. Best not to spook the Marquis unneeded.

The Suk seems surprised at this, "You wish to keep this news from the Marquis?? Are you sure that is wise?"

Hesakaya says, "Mention it in your report. The lady seems too much in control of her mind to be labeled insane. I don't want the marquis to think that she is."

The Suk nods lightly to Hesakaya and quietly says, "Yes, Lord Mentat." He looks back to Justine, shakes his head a bit and then leaves.

Hesakaya takes a chair from near the wall and places it at the footend of the bed. Then, he checks the room just to make sure everything is alright, checks if the guards have been aware and reposted and only then he takes a seat, his arms folding into the sleeves of his overcoat, making himself as comfy as possible.
