Sisay's Bazajet Visit
Visiting the Bajazet Embassy
----------------------------
Reception Court -- Bajazet Embassy (Kaitain)
Hushed, yet bursting with activity at the same time, the reception court of
the Bajazet household is a vast tile paved space, lined with majestic palms
that shade it's perimeter. The refreshing babbling of water rings out
across the walkways, it's source, a large fountain sitting squarely in the
center of the court. Ornately embellished benches are placed around the
fountain offering a quiet resting spot to the weary. Roses, lavender, and
other fragrant flowers are planted in low copper edged flowerbeds, that hug
the contours of the tiled pool. Tucked along the eastern side of the court
is a small private stable, large openings in it's facade allowing glimpses
of the magnificent steeds housed within. A broad avenue leads from the
stables to around the southern walls of the forecourt, the occasional horse
being trotted along it. At the south end of the court, the Embassy itself
looms up over it's surroundings.
Players:
Aleikum
Objects:
Ginaz Limousine
Exits:
Carved Gate <W> leads to Negara II Plaza -- Embassy District (Kaitain)
Tiled Avenue <T> leads to Riding Grounds -- Bajazet Embassy (Kaitain)
Wide Archway <E> leads to Stables -- Bajazet Embassy (Kaitain)
Bronze Door <S> leads to The Adrianopol -- Bajazet Embassy (Kaitain)
Aleikum smiles warmly and bows "Salaam Lady Ginaz, Welcome to our Embassy
A young Lady descends from the limousine carrying a red box in her hands.
She looks curiously around noticing the flowers around with her glimmering
obsidian black eyes. She approaches and curtseys gracefully: "Greetings on
behalf of my uncle, the Marquis Jacob Ginaz. I am his niece, Lady Sisay
Ginaz."
Aleikum continues to smile warmly "I am Master Aleikum Sh'waya, Swordmaster
for his Grace the Sultan, please come inside and enjoy our hospitality"
Sisay smiles and nods. "Thank you, Master, for your hospitality. I have
brought you this..." She hands over the red box. "This is a vintage wine
from Marcinko, to be drank on special occasions." the Lady says with a
pleasant smile on her young face.
Aleikum bows slightly as he accepts the gift "I am honored to accept this
for my Sultan" He turns a bit and motions for the doors to be opened. Two
slaves dressed in Bajazet Livery push the doors open holding them for you.
Sisay giggles and walks, following the Bajazet Swordmaster closely.
<<walking towards the garden ...>>
Tulip Court -- Bajazet Embassy (Kaitain)
A large arcade runs around the outer perimeter of this majestic, open
aired, inner garden court. The garden itself is divided by two bisecting
paths that quarters the space into quadrants. The beds are carefully laid
out in precise geometric shapes, and smaller pathways interspersed between
the beds in each quadrant, themselves, form a larger geometric pattern.
Several small tiled mosaic pools are placed symmetrically throughout the
garden, and are filled with fish that dart just below the water's surface.
In the center of the garden is a small kiosk with several benches, that
afford a full view of the opulent surroundings.
Players:
Aleikum
Exits:
Aleikum stops "If you wish M'Lady we can stay here in the Tulip Court or
proceed to the Salon
Sisay says with a smile: "This garden is perfect, If I may say so,
Master..."
Aleikum bows and guides you to the kiosk
Sisay approaches the kiosk and takes a seat on one of the benches, admiring
the pools and the overall beauty of the Bajazet interior garden. "This is
quite... different than anything I have ever seen untill now" the Lady says
in a whispering tone.
Aleikum chuckles and placing the wine on the bench beside him claps his
hands and slave bearing sweetmeats and drinks appear as if by magic. "We
Bajazet come here to rest our minds from the hectic busyness of everyday
life.
Sisay smiles pleasantly: "Oh yes, it is very... relaxing. Tell me, Master,
have you studied at the Ginaz Academy or... elsewhere?"
Aleikum chuckles "Elsewhere in a place called "The Arena."
A young slave girl approaches Sisay holding a tray of sweetmeats and other
delicicies, offering it to her.
Sisay looks at the slave girl, trying not to have a too mercifull look on
her face but she fails miserably. She recalls events of another Embassy and
another slave which... but no! Enough of dark thoughts. She concentrates on
the tray, picking something which looks like a slim chocolate biscuit and
tastes it. Returning her gaze upon the Swordmaster with a clearly puzzled
look on her face she asks: "The Arena, I never heard of that school. Might
it be a new school of warfare...?"
Aleikum smiles gently at the slave girl before replying quietly "You could
call it that, though it's not new, the "Arena" is where Gladiators fight, I
was lucky and was able to get out still alive.
Sisay gasps and asks: "Ohh... I recall reading something about...
gladiators... Isn;t it that where slaves fight each other?"
Aleikum hesitates then nods 'Aye they do, most don't make it" he smiles
shaking his head "But lets not talk of such morbid stuff, what occasion
brings you to visit our Embassy, not that there needs to be one mind you."
Sisay beams a sweet smile and shrugs innocenly. "I am but a messanger of mu
uncle's bearing his best wishes to the Sultan and House Bajazet. Since
state business keep him from visiting himself, he sent me to learn of your
great House and meet your people."
Aleikum laughs and turning takes a tray of drinks from a slave adn offers
it to you "A drink? we have both non-Alcolholic and some with
Sisay giggles and says inquringly: "I'd take a specific non-alcoholic
Bajazet drink..." The lady laughs sweetly: "I had enough of teas at home,
you know..."
Aleikum chuckles and selects a dark brown drink "Here, a chilled chocolate
drink laced with a hint of orange.
Sisay takes the drink and slowly tastes it. She lets out a faint "Mmmm" as
she takes another sip. "I am going to tell my uncle that you spoil me!" she
says and giggles swetly. "A very good drink..."
Aleikum laughs "We like to treat our friends well, it tends to keep them
our friends you see?" he grins impishly.
Sisay giggles and nods: "In deed..." She sips her drink for a few moments,
tasting this new delicious drink, a welcomed change from her everyday
boring life at the Embassy. "Tell me, Master, did you travel a lot?" she
asks in a merry voice.
Aleikum smiles 'Actually I did, my first master had extensive holdings on
several planets and since I was his Daughters Bodyguard and she always went
with him. I got to travel with them.
Sisay laughs merrily and confesses: "Back home, on Marcinko, I gave my
guards a pretty heavy time, always running away from home... Oh my..."
Aleikum chuckles " I can see them going nuts everytime you disappeared, I
know I used to
Sisay giggles and says: "Yea, well, half of the fun was getting past
them... half of the other was hiding from them..."
Aleikum picks up another tray "Here try one of these breads they're made
with poppyseeds
Sisay goes "Mmm" as she tries the bread. After she munches it she says:
"But, Master, how come you have such delicacies... you definitely get me
spoiled." She giggles and laughs merrily.
Aleikum chuckles "We Bajazet pride ourselves in good hospitality" he grins
and leans closer whispering "I like good food"
Sisay beams a broad smile. "Oh yes... And I'm getting the taste of it...
You really must send some of these to my Embassy. And in turn I'll send you
some of the Marcinko teas, prepared by me in person, after a recipe learned
from my mother... You'll love it!"
Aleikum smiles warmly and bows "I would be honored to recieve such."
Sisay takes another ip from her chocolate drink and asks: "I heard your
House has... differences with the Harkonnens, is that right?"
Aleikum chuckles "it is no secret the Harks and us have our differences,
they are still a bit put out over thier defeat on Malarca
Sisay widens her eyes and asks: "Oh? You ... fought?"
Aleikum says, "I didn't I was still in training but others did"
Sisay goes "Aah... I see." she takes another sip of her drink and says: "I
understood from my uncle that our House is ... umm... supporting the Sultan
in ... whatever the quarrel with the Harkonnens is?"
Aleikum nods "I'm totally sure of the details as I've just become
Swordmaster, but it has something to do with our Proces verbal...I think
Sisay shrugs innocently and beams one of her innocent sweet smiles. "Well,
the important thing is that we are on the same side..."
The ornate arched doors across the courtyard open, and a woman enters at a
languid pace, dressed in fine silks. The veil presumably which covered her
hair dangles from her fingertips, the breeze of her passage trailing it
behind her.
Aleikum chuckles gently "I would agree to that " he picks up a glass of
water and raises it "To friends
Sisay raises her gaze to meet the newly arrived... lady, as it seems. The
Ginaz girls' eyes open wide in curiosity as she studies the approaching
woman and her silky dressings. She then looks to the Swordmaster, awaiting
to be introduced... if it would be the case.
Felizia approaches the pair at the same slow pace, and seems to almost be
of the mind to pass right by them. But she pauses, giving the Swordmaster a
glance as she teasingly inquires, "Another courtship, Alei? So soon?"
Aleikum follows Sisay's look and smiles "Ahhh Salaam, Felizia" he turns
back to Sisay "M'Lady this is Lady Felizia al-Bahir" he turns to Zia and
very formally "Madame al-Bahir, this is Lady Sisay Ginaz.
Sisay raises and curtseys. "I real pleasure, I'm sure..." She then resumes
her position on the bench, tightly grasping the glass of chocolate.
<<Sisay thinks: Courting me? Who does she think I am?>>
Aleikum laughs and shakes his head at Zia "Not hardly my friend, just a
guest of our House"
Felizia's eyebrow arches as she hears the name Ginaz, and she smiles
gently. "Ah... of our noble friends, the Ginaz. Welcome to our humble
compound," she murmurs, bowing low and genuflucting from her forehead with
her fingertips. After a pause, she adds, "First, a visit from the Marquis
himself, and then, a Lady such as this. His Excellency will spoil us soon,
surely."
Sisay giggles merrily. "Oh, my Lady, not even by far as much as you spoil
me with all these... delicacies and your warm welcome..." She motions
towards the benches "Would you care to join us?" She looks around for a
second and continues: "Iiif you don't have anything else to do, that is..."
Sakara scurries into the room almost looking frantic
"I wasn't about to do anything, m'lady... save soak in the baths awhile,"
Felizia smiles warmly, and moves to seat herself to the offered bench. Once
perched, she lifts her feet from the ground, and tucks them up under her,
her position essentially that of being cross-legged.
Some slaves appear and offer Felizia some refreshments
Sisay smiles cutely as she notices Felizia's position. The Ginaz sits in
the classical bottom-on-the-bench-and-feet-on-the-ground position, never
been used to enything else except in private maybe. She notices a
beautiful, almost naked girl come in, probably a slave of some sort. More
sweeties? She says: "Oh, I heard the Bajazet baths are... a unique
experience..."
Sakara looks about and finanly sees Felizia and moves towards her, but
keeps quiet until recognised. The slave girl does offer a curtsey to
Felizia and then the Ginaz female.
Felizia declines the offered trays with a shake of her head, and glances to
the Lady Ginaz. "They are... quite luxurious, indeed. But it is good to
have some of the comforts of home here on Kaitain." Sakara's presence draws
her attention, though, and any other comments she would have provided on
the baths are forgotten. "There you are," she says softly, reaching out to
touch the slave's arm, and invite her to sit with her.
Aleikum *coughs* trying to hide a laugh "one could say that
Sakara moves to sit beside Felizia and then says quietly "I am Sorry I had
fallen alseep on you my lady."
Sisay smiles and says: "Indeed, my Lady. Too bad the forests of Marcinko
cannot be 'brought' here too..." as she giggles merrily.
<<Sisay thinks: Slave? Daughter? Niece? Who is that woman?>>
Felizia shakes her head at the younger woman, chuckling. "You needed your
rest, Sakara. When I'm done visiting here, we'll both relax in the baths
awhile."
Sakara nods slowly and then blinks a good bit baffled by the relax
statement. Then the slave girl does bother to look at the Ginaz female for
a while as she sits there. A small smile draws upon her face as Sakara
seems to sit in a fashion that lacks any kinda of Morals at all for a
woman.
Aleikum smiles slightly at Sakara and takes a sip of his water 'Zia, Lady
Ginaz was asking about the Proces Verbal, I told her what I knew but I know
you can tell her more about it.
Felizia turns to Sisay, her expression bland. "Do you know what proces
verba is, Lady?"
Sisay gasps a little at the girl's position. But whomever visited the
Harkonnens learns to accept even stranger things... As if shaking away a
bad thought, the Ginaz Lady nods at the Swordmaster: "Oh yes... what is
that all about, my Lady?"
Sakara remains ever quiet and just sits there listening. It is obvious she
aims to try and learn something while here.
Felizia lets the veil she held drop into her lap in a small puddle,
reaching up to rub at a temple for a moment. "Proces verbal is a charge for
several things, but in this case it is for unwarranted acts of hostility.
It is, in short, about what House Harkonnen did to our lands and our
people, without reason. If our charge is successful, they will be stripped
of their votes in the Landsraad, their titles, and they will be exiled."
Sakara gasps deeply and looks at Zia.
The Ginaz Lady's eyes glimmer as the thought of House Harkonnen destroyed.
"Really?"
Aleikum has disconnected.
Felizia watches as the Swordmaster is called away, then returns her gaze to
the lady and nods solemnly. "Indeed, Lady. It is our wish."
Sakara inhales some and leans back in her seat some, as she looks to
Felizia.
Sisay gets a grim look on her face as she speaks with true fury echoing in
her voice: "I am sure my uncle will support this cause with all his energy.
I'd gladly see them all perish... completely... forever." After a second,
she recomposes her sweet, young voice and continues: "Only Ulricke is
different. The only cute Harkonnen I ever saw."
"No Harkonnen is 'cute', my lady," Felizia says brusquely, getting to her
feet with little pause. "Unless you view pit vipers and other rodents to be
'cute'?"
Sakara jumps in her seat startled and scambles to stand up. Once up she
reaches to Felizia and asks "My lady will you be ok?"
Sisay raises on her feet too, almost spilling whatever was left of her
drink. "My Lady. I share your fury against those beasts. Yet I cannot
convict people who have shown friendship and kindness to me." She pauses
for a split second and continues, looking deeply into Felizia's eyes. "I
have had my share of harkonnen love, my Lady, trust me. And it was a
terrifying experience for which they _will_ pay one day. But not all are of
the same kind, my Lady. Most of them, but not all."
"Perhaps... it is time for her ladyship to leave," Felizia says icily.
"Friends of the Harkonnen are not welcome in this embassy. A slave will see
you to the door." She gestures, bringing another slave forward to do
exactly that.
Sakara only stands near Felizia as her question is ignored and looks to the
Ginaz helplessly.
Sisay places her glass on the table carefully and says: "In deed, my Lady.
One word still. As we say on Marcinko, 'we are arrows in the same quiver'
you and I, my Lady. But perhaps only time will reveal this to you." She
turns around, neck stiffened, gracious moves and starts following the
appointed slave. "Have a good day, My Lady."
Felizia only snorts quietly, turning to stalk off in the direction of the
baths presumably. "Come, Sakara," she says sharply, summoning the slave to
follow.
<< Sisay arrives home. A few curses, a few guards pushed around and yelled
at and a few slammed doors can be heard. After this... silence...>>
[OOC Note: Sisay got house-arrested shortly after her arrival.]
