Sisay gets visited in 'prison'
Prison visits
-------------
Featuring Sisay, Slivon and Owen.
Swordmaster's Office -- Ginaz Embassy (Kaitain)
Half personal training room and half executive office, this room
has a large desk that faces the entrance as well as several large racks
holding swords and other weapons. There appears to be sufficient space for
demonstrations of technique, although any actual sparring would have to be
conducted out in the Training Room. Some shelving appears to hold a good
amount of paperwork and some shigawire reels, and a projector rests on the
polished wooden floor beside the desk. The walls are unadorned and a bright
white in color.
Exits:
Plasteel Doors <E> leads to Training Room -- Ginaz Embassy (Kaitain)
Slivon walks in from Training Room through the Plasteel Doors.
Slivon has arrived.
Sisay stands on the floor, in that characteristic position of hers, with
her back leaned against the wall, just beneath the window. She seems to
enjoy a cup of tea. As the guard enters she raises her gaze and smiles.
"Oh, hello Captain..."
Slivon smiles back politely and tells her: "I am sorry, Lady Sisay, but I
have not been able to complete my task for you yet, but seeing as it has
only been 7 hours ago I didn't think you'd expect me to have so already.
Anyway, it seems that there's still not much going on outside, although I
hear rumours in the hallway that the Suk is also having his theories on
you." He motions one of the guards to come a bit closer and asks him to
make sure another cup of tea is delivered.
Sisay smiles at the polite way the Captain is behaving. She raises from her
clutched position and sits down on one of the spartan chairs in the room
and motions the Captain to follow her and points the other facing chair.
"Oh? Our good doctor... what is he saying if I may ask?"
"Well, from what I heard it's that you have something psychological, but
then again, that's what all doctors would say. It might be best to ask him
himselve, if you want to, M'lady." Slivon suggests.
Sisay mumbles "Hmm... is he saying I'm nuts?" she enquires, much to
herself. She pouts and says: "Well, how 'bout we summon him here? I guess
our 'dear' Countess arranged that he'd come by too and 'consult' me, didn't
she."
"Well, I'm not sure if she did, but it'd be logical for her to do so."
Slivon says, and he continues "Shall I go over and ask him to join us?"
Sisay giggles and nods. "If you'd be so kind... I'd go over myself but..."
she shrugs and points to the ever-present Solude guards. From the look in
the young
Lady's eyes one could tell she just muttered a couple of curses in her head
at the guards or... at the Countess maybe? "I'm quite anxious to meet the
new Suk myself... but, please... remain with me while he's here..." One
cannot miss the anxious tone in her voice.
Slivon gets up and takes a short bow "Of course, M'lady."
Slivon walks to the east and passes through the Plasteel Doors.
Slivon walks in from Training Room through the Plasteel Doors.
"May I present, Dr. Ravencroft, Suk to House Ginaz." Slivon exlaims at a
formal tone.
Owen walks in from Training Room through the Plasteel Doors.
Owen has arrived.
"May I introduce to you, dr. Ravenscroft, Lady Sisay, Niece to the
Siridar-Marquis."
A young lady, all dressed in a black uniform and with long, wild, curly
hair sits on a chair in the northern part of the room. As the two men enter
she raises, her black obsidian eyes opened wide. She nods to the Captain
and gazes at the newly arrived 'guest'. She smiles and curtseys gracefully.
"Doctor Ravenscroft... I am glad to meet you."
Owen enters quietly, a ridulan crystal copy of the OC bible craddled under
his left arm. As he is introduced he offers a formal bow to the lady, "I
was summoned, your ladyship?"
Sisay beams a quick smile, her eyes glimmering as she notices the Bible in
the doctor's hand. She seats herself down again, motioning to the two men
to take seats also. The Lady respons: "I guess you were, Doctor..." She
pauses and adds: "If you want anything to drink, you might yell at the
watchdogs outside and you might be lucky in getting something." The acid
tone of her voice is almost funny spoked with her soft, young voice. "I
recon you ... know about my ... misunderstanding at the Bajazet embassy...
and I also heard you have some theories to explain my... how should I call
it? My behaiviour, Doctor?"
Owen straightens from his bow and moves to one of the indicated seats, "I
offer my thanks for your hospitality, m'lady but I'm fine for now. As for
your.....behavior, aye, I believe I have the workings of a theory."
Owen just looked at you.
Sisay conceals an amused smile behind her hand. She quircks her brows and
says in a giggling tone: "But, my dear Doctor... you hardly know me... how
could you be working on a ... theory, as you call it, while you have no
idea about the object of your ... investigations or... whatever." She winks
playfully at the Captain as she miserably tries to control a merry
laughter. "But I assure you I am very curious on your oppinion..." The
laughter and smile on the young Lady's face fade slowly, leaving a serious
and maybe even concerned look.
Owen places the bible on his lap and folds his hands over it. He returns
the smile but it is almost wistful and compassionate, "As you have quite
correctly pointed out miss, I do not know you that well. However, I do
recognize the patterns which you have been exhibiting. To put it bluntly
m'lady, you are terrified."
Sisay looks the Doctor in the eyes and crosses her hands at her chest. She
gets a pale look on her face and mumbles "Really? How come?" The tone of
her voice sounds distant and far... but hey eyes glimmer and fix the Doctor
in their gaze.
Owen flits a quick glance at Slivon before continuing before returning his
gaze to Sisay. The compassionate smile still on his face he looks her
straight in the eyes, "Because m'lady, you are completly out of your
league. Your training is as a swordsman, but here on Kaitain that training
is next to useless to you. You have been thrown into a chaotic social
malestrom which you do not understand and are not equiped to handle and to
top it off, you have been pledged to marry a man you do not know with
expectations which you do not know how to fill. As a result you have been
lashing out at any target that presents itself in order to establish some,
really any, sense of control in a world were you feel totally lost." He
stops and blinks.
Sisay raises quickly to her feet, knocking the chair down in a loud *thud*
She turns around and heads to the window. The next instant two Solude
guards barge in, probably alerted by the noise. The lady turns around, with
her cheeks red like a tomato and yells at the guards: "Out! Now!" and
stomps her foot. The guards ignore her and look at the Captain as she
furiously turns around and looses her gaze ouside the window.
"I think you better take a post outside of the door. Whatever is being said
here is none of your business." Slivon tells the guards. "But sir, Duchesse
Solude ordered us to stay here, no matter what happened." the guard tries
to excuse himself. "That might be, but I am ordering you to take a post
OUTSIDE of here. Now!" Slivon speaks with a high level of authority in his
voice. The guard decides it might be better to listen to what he has to say
but mutters on his way out "don't think this won't be reported,
Captain...".
Owen remains clamly seated, hands folded in his lap, "The only question
m'lady is whether or not you are content to let this situation remain as it
is, or whether you are ready to take control of your own destiny?"
Sisay pirouettes around, her hair flutturing wildly about, her obsidian
eyes sparkling wildly. She sure looks as if about to burst out again.
Instead she turns around again, facing the window. After a few moment's
pause she says in a stressed tone. "Doctor, tell me, have you ever slept
alone at night, in the woods of Marcinko? And have you ever had your life
threatened by a wild bear about five times the size of you? Have you ever
jumped into a waterfall? Have you ever frozen to death on the snow-covered
peaks of a mountain?" She slowly turns around and walks nervously around
the room. "Have you, doctor?"
Owen remains perfectly calm, "Some I have and others I have not, m'lady" He
stops and allows the lady to continue, sensing she is building up to
something.
Sisay laugh nervously. "Yea, right! We'll talk about destiny when you've
saved your own life with only your two little hands and nothing else!" she
mumbles as tears start falling from her cheeks and her body starts a faint
shiver. She continues: "I've taught myself how to survive and I bet all of
those little cozy concubines out there will just wet their pants if they'd
have to stand up for themselves." Her shaking continues and she falls down
against the wall in her trademark position, sitting down, back leaned
against the wall, embracing her knees with her arms. Throuhg the shaking
and tears, the little Lady says: "I ... I ... tried... I ... really...
tried... to... but... noone... help... Ulricke..." her babbling turns into
a whisper untill finally the tears take complete control of her as she
burries her wet face between her arms and knees.
Owen rises from his chair. He sets his bible down on the now empty seat and
rights the over turned chair infront of him before moveing over the to
wall, sinking down to sit next to Sisay on the floor, "M'lady, I have a
proposition for you. Suppose that we consider Kaitain as just another
wilderness, as fast and treachorous as any you would find on Marcinko.
Consider also that this wilderness has its bears and frozen mountains just
like anyother. I propose to you, miss that given the right....help, you
could conqure this wilderness just has you did the one on Marcinko. You
claim you have the strength to survie. Well then, m'lday I say to you;
let's prove it."
Sisay shakes and shiver violently, her head still burrowed between her
arms. Her black, curly hair covering her forehead and knees like a long
flowing curtain. After a couple of moments she whisper between her tears:
"I... cannot go out and slaughter people... I... hardly can talk with them
without... without saying ... something stupid... I'm... useless..." Her
voice is barely audible, yet her despair is painly obvious.
Owen turns his head to look at the poor girl sitting beside him, "Then my
dear we will simply have to turn you into something useful." This is said
completly matter of fact and with the utmost confidence.
Sisay raises her head in a flurry of her hair. Her eyebrows are quirked
together giving her a rebel and angry look. "I'll never be a housewife!"
she says sharply. Her gaze raises to meet the Captain's, her eyes drowned
in tears, her hair amess. Her look almost begs for a tissue.
Luckily Slivon always carries some tissues with him and hands Sisay a few.
"There you go." While he was quite startled by the sudden sharp reply he
did not let it visibly show.
Owen waits for the captain to pass the tissues before continuing again in
the same confident, calm manner, "My dear, the last thing in the known
universe you will ever be is a 'house wife'. You will be a Duchess, a power
behind the throne, and if you so desire, one of the most powerful
individuals in the Imperium."
Sisay takes the tissues and quickly wipes her nose clean. With another one
she wipes her eyes clean of those sad tears. With an embarrased smile she
thanks the Captain. The smile gets bigger as she turns around and watches
the doctor. "Yea, then we'll kick 'em in the butts!" the girl giggles
playfully, visibly touched by the Doctor's words. Her eyes start to shine
again, her inner self starting to calm down from the outburst.
Owen raises an eyebrow, "Well m'lday I hope that we can think of a better
way of expressing the sentiment but yes...'then we'll kick 'em in their
butts.' However, before we get to that point there is much work to be done.
Serious work, and at times not all together pleasant work. Are you willing
to do what is needed?"
Sisay beams a tired smile and leans her head against the wall, still
clutching her feet by the knees. "Will I ever make it? Will I ever walk
those streets in those fancy dresses and will I ever talk without making a
fool out of myself?" She sighs and whispers: "Because my head aches and all
the world is spinning around..."
Owen smiles and nods. "Of course m'lady." He walks over to retreive his
bible, tucking it under his left arm again.
Sisay nods and says towards the Doctor: "Thank you for the visit and...
well... I guess we'll be seeing each other again..." She waves towards the
doctor, being too tired to raise maybe. She quickly fixes her gaze upon the
Captain, narrowng her eyelids, fixing him with intenisty. Holding her right
arm near her feet, she imperceptibly taps the ground twice with her finger.
<<Sisay thinks: Let's see how smart he is...>>
Owen bows formally to Sisay and offers Silvon a nod, "It was a distinct
pleasure, m'lady. Captain." He turns to leave the room.
Slivon thinks about the gesture, which is obviously a form of communication
directed to him. Arm stretched along the leg, 2 taps on the ground. He goes
trough all the special codelanguages he had learned in his creer and found
2 references "Stay" and "Is it done". Which of the two is it? He decides to
stay.
Owen walks to the east and passes through the Plasteel Doors.
Slivon waits until Owen has left the room and asks "Was there something you
wanted to tell me, M'lday?
Sisay smiles wickedly and slowly stands up. She comes closer to the captain
with her back at the door, blocking eventual 'spies' from reading her lips.
"Captain... you amaze me..." she whispers. She ponders for a moment and
continues in a lighter whisper: "How much of... this will reach the
Countess' ears?"
Slivon immediatly recognizes Sisay's behaviour as spy preventing measures
and just moves along in the pattern all people use making sure now he is
facing the door with his back.
Slivon whispers: How much do you want to reach her ears, my lady?
Sisay pretends to dropping her only tissue left on the ground. After she
picks it up she miraculously faces the door again with her back. She
quickly slips somthing out of her vest and pretending to shake the
Captain's hands, tosses what seems to be two pieces of paper in his hands.
"Send them quietly to their destination. You know all security by-passes.
If you cannot send couriers, do it yourself. This is what I want stripped
out." the girl whispers quickly in a loud-enough voice so it is barely
audible to the Captain.
(OOC) Sisay says, "One paper is titled: Ulricke Harkonnen and the other one
is titled: Mintor Atreides."
Slivon kneels before Lady Sisay, making sure his head is positioned behind
Sisay from the doors perspective.
Slivon whispers: It will be done, M'lady.
Sisay smiles thankfully, sparing a whisper. However, her expressive eyes
tell about gratitude, respect and trust. She whispers: "My guards... are
they alive?" she continues her whisper, pretending to be wiping some dust
from her vest.
While slowly rising to his feet again Slivon makes a small handsignal, he
twitches his thumb in the up direction.
Sisay lets out a small sigh of relief and smiles happily. She then says in
a normal voice: "Thank you, Captain for your visit. I gather I will have
the honor of your visit again soon?"
"When the Swordmistress allows me to, I will come again soon." There's
something not right in the way he pronounces Swordmistress. It's hard to
place, but something is definitely not right there.
Sisay nods and says: "Of course... " She narrows her eyelids a bit while
pondering <<He doesn't like her too. What did she do to him? Is she out of
her minds? If my uncle knew... She's dangerous... Chardin... he must talk
to Chardin if he knows anything...>> She quickly adds: "Send Master Klees,
our dear Mentat my best wishes." She gently stresses the words 'dear' and
'mentat' with a higher pitch of her voice while smiling benevolently.
Slivon smiles at Sisay and tells her that she really needs some rest now,
putting an extra intonation to rest. He knows she'll understand the hint.
Sisay smiles and nods quietly: "It has been a heavy day..." she says
walking the Captain, her new friend, to the door. "Thank you Captain and
take care...". She curtseys gracefully.
Slivon walks towards the door, but not directly, he walks to the northeast
corner of the room and lip-signals that she doesn't need to worry before
walking silently to the door along the wall. When he suddenly opens it the
two guards were standing suspiciously close to the door... He tells them
they can assume their normal positions again and walks off trough the
hallway.
Slivon walks to the east and passes through the Plasteel Doors.
